Managing Partner
Dato' Sri Jess Ling, JS is the Managing Partner at JLDS. DS Jess leads an active litigation practice as well as in corporate and conveyancing. DS Jess oversees all aspects of the firm’s management, growth, and strategic planning. DS Jess has been recognized for her sizable contributions to the firm’s practice with a commitment to providing value-added services in a professional trustworthy manner with her extensive knowledge and experience. DS Jess has received substantial recognition from the larger legal industry for both her leadership of JLDS and her own legal practice.
In 2017, DS Jess was awarded the 16th Chinese Excellent Talents Award at the 2nd World Chinese Leadership Summit in Taiwan. In 2018, DS Jess was named one of the Top 50 Asia Pacific Women Leader Award in Vietnam. DS Jess has also been honored as one of the Top 20 Successful Women @ Pink Biz by China Press, Malaysia, in 2018. In 2023 she was granted with the conferment of the Global Chinese Distinguished Women Legalpreneur Lifetime Achievement Award in Shenzen, China and recently, in October 2024 DS Jess was been honoured as one of the Malaysia’s TOP 30 Women of Excellence Awards 2024. In 2021, JLDS was recognised by the MyMalaysia Awards with the Mymalaysia Professional Services Award and in 2023, JLDS was awarded with the Global Business Values & Ethics Award 2023at the Global Muslim Business Forum.
DS Jess maintains an active involvement as a panellist in talks & seminars, often at the forefront of social justice issues. Being a co-founder and OC of the ASEAN Chinese Book of Records and Award 2021-2022, DS Jess is a frequent speaker in multiple Webinars, especially those hosted during the pandemic.

Nurul Diyana Hijazi is a partner at JLDS. An accomplished and experienced litigator, her practice covers a wide range of legal practice areas, particularly specializing in banking & finance litigation.
She has appeared as both lead counsel and co-counsel at all tiers of the Malaysian Courts in the areas of corporate and commercial disputes, family law disputes and employment matters, from pre-litigation advice to enforcement and execution of judgments.
Over the years, she has handled Matrimonial & Family Law matter including but not limited to Divorce(Joint Petition and Contested), Child Custody, Spousal Maintenance, Judicial Separation, and Adoption.
She has also handles some probate and Estate Administration matters and drafting of wills.
Diyana read law at the University of Technology MARA, Malaysia and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in December 2009.

JOSOPHINE SAWIRNATHAN, JOE joined JS Ling, Diyana & Singh in 2021 and became a Partner in September 2024. She read law at Universiti Utara Malaysia and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree in 2015 and also holds a Master of Business Administration from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2016.
Her main areas of focus are dispute resolution, particularly in debt recovery, partnership disputes, tenancy matters, housing development disputes, and matrimonial law disputes.
Apart from that, Joe also gained wide experiences in handling employment disputes, defamation and construction matters, including Adjudication matters.
Throughout her career, Joe has appeared at all levels of courts in Malaysia and successfully represented her clients in various disputes in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Besides that, since 2017, Joe also serves as a committee member of Jawatankuasa Bahasa Melayu of Malaysian Bar. Currently, she serves as the Co-Deputy Chairman of the Bahasa Melayu Committee.
